Telerobotic – Autonomous robots are too far in the future to help in such tasks as unmanned space exploration, bomb disposal, etc. It is even too much to expect autonomous robots to perform simple tasks such as letting the dog out when you are gone, checking on an elderly parent if they don't answer the phone, etc... However, a small robot controlled through the Internet or via a cell phone could do some of these tasks.
