Let me know... 810:088 Hi Network Security students, Next week will be presentations. Please let me know whether you or your group wish to present your semester project/paper summary on: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. I can make overheads for you if you give me the material a day ahead of time. I can also make photocopies of any handout you wish to have so that everyone in the class can have it. Also, let me know whether you wish to go over your project and present it to me and possibly one or two other students instead of presenting to the entire class. We need to schedule a time outside of class to do that next week. Please remember that there is no networking prerequisite for this class. The goal in your presentation should be to make the area of security understandable. Try to bring down to earth the concepts especially if you are delving into techical areas like buffer overflow or wireless networking. I expect presentations will be anywhere from between 5 minutes to 15 minutes or so in length. I expect presentations might use a web page for some of it, or handouts, or overheads, or blackboard, or any combination of the above. A presentation could include a brief exercise or questions that students answer individually or in small groups to get more involved in the concepts or issues or skills. I will hand back the 3rd page of the exam (the green sheet) on Monday morning. See you then. Have a great weekend! Mark
